Metro

The network of the Prague Metro consists of 3 lines designated by letters:

Public Transport in PragueDepo Hostivar - Dejvicka,
Public Transport in PragueCerny most - Zličín,
Public Transport in PragueLetnany - Haje,

with a possibility to change at stations Muzeum (A x C), Mustek (A x B) and Florenc (B x C). It operates daily from 05:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Metro provides transport connection to large Prague stations - Florenc Bus Station, Holesovice Bus Station and Railway Station, Prague - Main Railway Station, Prague - Masarykovo Railway Station.

The Mustek and Muzeum information centres are open from Sunday to Sarurday between 7 am and 9 pm, the Ruzyne airport information center from Sunday to Saturday between 7 am to 10 pm, the other ones on working days between 7 am and 6 pm.

Trams, Buses
Daily operation from 04:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., during the night from 12:00 p.m. to 04:30 a.m. there is a uniform headway 40 minutes. The central point of change of the night routes, designated by numbers 51 - 58, is the tram stop Lazarsk

Transfer tickets

(26,- CZK / adults; 13,- CZK / children 6 - 15 years old)

Tickets for two fare zones can be used 75 minutes after validation.

Non-transfer tickets

(18,- CZK / adults; 9,- CZK / children between 6 - 15 years)

These tickets apply to trams and buses 15 minutes allowing no change. On the Metro such tickets are valid for the distance of 4 stations from the station of validation (not including the station of validation) allowing to change between the lines A, B, C but no longer than 30 minutes. These tickets do not apply for night routes or the funicular railway.

Additional ticket sale from bus drivers

(31,- CZK / adults; 18,- CZK / children between 6 - 15 years)

Such ticket sale is available only in the zone P with a validity identical to the transfer tickets.

Short term season tickets

24-hour ticket 100,- CZK
3-day ticket (72 hours) 330,- CZK, incl. free transfer of one 6-15 year-old child
5-day ticket (120 hours) 500,- CZK, incl. free transfer of one 6-15 year-old child

Long term season tickets

Monthly or for 30 days 550,- CZK
Quarterly or for 90 days 1.480,- CZK
Annual or for 365 days 4.750,- CZK

Free of charge transportation is valid for

  • children up to the age of 6 year
  • baby prams with a child
  • animals (dogs) in continers
