Halloween in Prague

Prague cannot deny its internationality and therefore the night of the 31st of October becomes a night of witches, ghouls, ghosts and monsters. Yes, Halloween is here with all the necessary - costume shops, parties and more.

Everybody loves Christmas! And we feel like the most beautiful holiday is nearly knocking on the door. Have you ever visited the Christmas markets in Vienna, Dresden or Budapest? What about coming this year in Prague and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Advent.

The most popular markets are on the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square where you can find roughly 70 – 80 stands. Smaller one are situated on Náměstí Republiky, Náměstí Míru or Náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad . What can you buy there? We have to say, that Prague Christmas markets are not primarily about shopping but it is mainly about special atmosphere that is there. You can taste the traditional and famous hot drinks, such as hot wine, grog or warm honey liquor or try sweet roasted chestnuts. You can also find there traditional hand – crafted gifts, wooden toys or ceramics products.

Prague Christmas markets are opened every day of the week from 9am to 7pm and from 9am to 9pm during the weekends. Christmas tree will be officially lit on the Old Town Square 1st December in the evening. Soak up the Christmas atmosphere! See you there!
