Pilsner Beer Festival

The world-renowned Pilsner Urquell brewery in the town of Plzen (Pilsen), about 100km west of Prague, is holding it’s “Pilsner Fest”, on the 5th of October, which is also the original date of the first brewed Pilsner Urquell.
In addition to the beer there will be various outdoor food options, grilled meats and traditional Czech fare like potato pancakes, langos and so on. There’s also the brewery restaurant, Na Spilce, with a full menu of Czech classics.
The best of the Czech music scene will be presented on two main stages. This year featuring: Buty, Cechomor, Ondrej Brzobohaty, Krystof, Sunshine...
During the Pilsner Fest as any other day you can also take part in the Pilsner Urquell brewery tour route. The Pilsner Urquell brewery is a unique industrial heritage site which belongs to the European Route of Industrial Heritage. The brewery tour showcases all of the authentic places where Pilsner Urquell lager has been brewed for more than 170 years. You will get to see both the historical as well modern production facilities of the brewery. Part of the tour is a visit to a section of the 9-kilometer-long labyrinth of brewery cellars, where you will have the chance to taste unfiltered Pilsner Urquell drawn straight from oak lager casks.
