Designblok 2013 – Prague design and fashion week
07.10.2013, Maria Jagerova
Designblok is the annual week-long exhibition presenting the current Czech and world design. It is the unique event of its kind in the Czech republic, founded in 1999.
A couple of years ago, Designblok was a very specialized and pronounced exhibition event for a few experts, brands, and visitors. However, times have changed. The past several years have shown that Designblok ranks among the most significant autumn events attended by students, young people, families with children, and experts.
One does not have to go to Milan or London to see new designs in the field of fashion, lights, and glass. Designblok surpasses London and Milan with enthusiasm and the number of young designers, plus Czech and foreign companies.
Designblok takes place in selected showrooms, boutiques, and galleries situated all over Prague. Superstudio will be located in Clam Gallas Palace in Husova street in the Old Town and Kafka's house on Franz Kafka Square in the Old Town Square.
Fashion Week will take place at the residence of the Mayor of Prague and surprisingly also in the church of St. Simon and St. Jude in Dušní street.
